"Let us Store up 7 Years of Prayer"

 (Genesis 41:46-49, 53-57)

Today I’d like to share the message under this title, “Let us Store up 7 Years of Prayer.”

I believe today is going to be a spiritual turning point for our church.

We all know the story of Joseph in the Bible. Joseph was Jacob’s eleventh son, and he had his father’s special love all to himself. And when Joseph was 17 years old, he had dreams about the future. And because of that dreams, his brothers became so jealous and eventually sold him to Egypt as a slave. So, from that time he passed through the times of hardship in the land of Egypt. 

After 13 years, one very important event happened. Pharaoh, the King of Egypt had dreams, but he wasn’t able to interpret his dreams. And all the wise men of Egypt were also not able to interpret the dream. So, Pharaoh was deeply troubled. In his first dream, Pharaoh saw 7 cows and they were very beautiful and healthy. But soon after, another 7 cows appeared, but they were very unhealthy and ugly.

Then the ugly 7 cows ate the 7 beautiful cows. But even after they ate all the cows, the ugly cows were still ugly and unhealthy. And in his second dream, Pharaoh saw 7 heads of grain that were very good and healthy. But soon after another 7 heads of grain appeared and they were very thin and scorched. Then again, the seven ugly heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy heads of grain.

After having this dream, Pharaoh became very distressed, because he couldn’t understand or interpret it. At that moment, Pharaoh’s chief cupbearer Joseph. Chief cupbearer is like a royal bartender beside kings. He was in prison with Joseph before. But at that time, Joseph interpreted his dream, and just as he had said, he was restored to his position. So the chief cupbearer introduced Joseph to Pharaoh. So Pharaoh called Joseph, and Joseph shaved, put on clean clothes, and came before Pharaoh.

So, Pharaoh said, “I heard that when you hear a dream, you can interpret it.”

Joseph said, “I cannot do it, but God will give the answer.” 

So Pharaoh told Joseph all his dreams, and then Joseph started to interpret.

Joseph said, “Your two dreams are one.”

“And they mean that there will be 7 years of abundance in the land, and after that there will be 7 years of famine.”

“God has shown you this dream so that you can prepare ahead of time.”

[Genesis 41:25-32] 25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, "The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26 The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream. 27 The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine. 28 "It is just as I said to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do. 29 Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, 30 but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land. 31 The abundance in the land will not be remembered, because the famine that follows it will be so severe. 32 The reason the dream was given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon.

Pharaoh listened to all the interpretations, and he was deeply touched. He said in Genesis 41:38, “Can we find anyone like this man? The Spirit of God is with him.” So, Pharaoh appointed Joseph as the prime minister of Egypt.

Brothers and sisters, Many people think of this story as Joseph’s success story. Many people think that Joseph became a slave when he was just 17, but by the help of God, he became a prime minster. But actually, this story is not just about Joseph. It is about God’s greater plan. When we read Genesis chapter 15, God told Abraham, that his descendants would live in a foreign land, serve there, and after about 400 years they would be set free.

[Genesis 15:12-16] 12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him. 13 Then the LORD said to him, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. 14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions. 15 You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a good old age. 16 In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure."

In Genesis 15, There was no Joseph, there was no Jacob, even there was no Isaac.

But God already knew that later Jacob’s family would move to Egypt, and there Israel would become a great nation. Joseph was not in Egypt just to be blessed and become prime minister.

He was there because of God’s salvation plan. Joseph had to be in Egypt so that Jacob’s family could enter there.  In this way, God’s word to Abraham would be fulfilled.” God sent Joseph to Egypt to prepare Israel there, and later through that Israel to bring salvation to all nations.

So this is not Joseph’s story, but a part of God’s story to save all nations.

And this story is really about “the dream and the interpretation” God gave. There will be 7 years of great abundance, and after that there will be another 7 years of great famine. As Christians, we have heard this story many times. 7 years of abundance, and 7 years of famine.  Christians are familiar with this story even from Sunday school. But I believe today that our God has a message for us through this story. 

Brothers and sisters, it’s been about one and a half years since I came to our Full Gospel All Nations church. In early 2023, while I was praying in the church, I received an important message through the Word of God. And that message is still leading and guiding my life.

That message was given to me through Luke chapter 5 verse 4.

There the Bible says, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch."

At that time, God gave me not only the message but also its interpretation.

“Go into the deep water” that means “You go into the deep places of God.” The Holy Spirit was telling me inside, “From now, you go into the deep center of God through your prayer, and there cast your nets.” At that very moment, a very strong inspiration from the Holy Spirit came into my heart. The Holy Spirit moved me, saying, “From this year, for 10 years, you store up 10,000 hours of prayer.”

At that time it was 2023. So I calculated, and I realized that if I pray three hours each day, then in 10 years I will have stored up 10,000 hours of prayer before God.

At that time, I did not know why God asked me to pray like that. I never asked God, ‘What will You do with 10,000 hours of prayer?’ But there is one thing I definitely know through my life of prayer: “Our God works through prayer.” If there is no continuous and intimate prayer in our lives, there will be no working of God in our lives.

So, from the year of 2023, my prayer life completely changed. Since when I was young, I learned to pray and kept praying all my life. But from 2023, I gave more time to prayer, and I prayed more deeply than ever before. And also the year of 2023 is very important to me, because it was the first time I received God’s word concerning Hong Kong.

In June 2023, I took a day off from church and went up to the prayer mountain to pray. I entered a small prayer room, prayed about two hours, and opened the Bible to read. At that moment, God planted in me the word of Psalm 22:27-31. There the Bible says, All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him. That day was on June 23, 2023 that I can never forget. On that day, I wrote in my diary ‘God’s mission has already started from today. “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and “all nations” will bow down before him.”

Our Full Gospel All Nations church was not yet established in 2023. The first worship service of our church was on January 7, 2024 But on June 23, in the year of 2023, God had already given me His word about “All Nations.” I made up my mind that day to go to Hong Kong.

Brothers and sisters, God’s work is always like this In Genesis 15, God spoke to Abraham about what would happen to his descendants 400 years later. At that time, Abraham did not yet have a son, Isaac. But in God’s eyes, Isaac already exists, Jacob already exists, and the his descendants are already there. Joseph, when he was 17, he saw in his dreams what would happen later in Egypt. Joseph saw that scenes in his dreams, but in God that was already accomplished.

Already in 2023, I received God’s word about “All Nations” At that time, our All Nations Church did not yet exist. But in God’s eyes, our Church was already there. In God’s dimension, our church and the work that God wants to do through this church are already accomplished. Even Before our church existed in this world, God already knew our All Nations church. And God already knows everything our church will do in the future. And those who pray are the people who discover God’s work.

We do not know everything. But when we pray, through God’s word or through dreams, we see what He will do. Since 2023, I have continued to practice such prayer. And then, in January 2024, Full Gospel All Nations Church was founded. I was originally planning to come to Hong Kong in 2023.  But then, suddenly, the church canceled sending me. “I didn’t know the reason. I just prayed.  But when I prayed, God showed me that “it wasn’t canceled—it was only delayed.”

When I prayed, God gave me this word “Knock on the door and it will opened.” And when I prayed, God gave me this heart, “You have a very long journey ahead, do not hurry.” I always carried Hong Kong in my heart and kept praying for it. My friends and pastors around me spoke to me based on human calculations and predictions. They said to me, ‘Accept reality. God’s will must be somewhere else.’ “They said, ‘There will be a better way ahead.’ 

And they also said, ‘Hong Kong is not your path.’”

But I was never shaken by those words. It was because I had already received God’s answer. Brothers and sisters, if we have God’s answer, that becomes my courage and my boldness. People, events, and circumstances keep changing—but God’s promise will surely be fulfilled! When 2025 came, God opened the door for me just as He gave me the Word. When I finally came to Hong Kong, I saw our church’s name “Full Gospel All Nations Church.”

So, in my life, our Church is a miracle, the answer of God, and the fruit of prayer. Brothers and sisters, when God’s time comes, the door that should open will open. So don’t worry about anything—just pray. I have been worshiping and praying together with you for about one and a half years now. Through prayer, God is now powerfully working in our church by the Holy Spirit.

In line with God’s purpose for establishing this church, we keep moving forward.

I do not put my focus on gathering a large number of people into our church. Rather, I set my heart on seeing our members sent out as the Lord’s messengers. Nevertheless, God continues to send people to our church. I believe that is the work of the Holy Spirit. Through our church, God wants to raise true disciples of Jesus, filling them with the Holy Spirit, and sending them out to serve all nations!

Now it is August 2026. For me, 3 years have passed since the time when God told me to pray for 10 years. Now, seven years remain. I have prayed for three years. But I didn’t know why God asked me to pray. Recently, in prayer, I have clearly understood the reason. This prayer is to prepare for the coming spiritual famine.

In Joseph’s time, the harvest from those 7 years had to be stored up, so that the coming 7 years of famine could be overcome. Likewise, brothers and sisters, a season of spiritual famine is drawing near, and all the people in the world, and all the churches in the world will encounter it. I believe that, just as in Joseph’s time, God has given us His word so that before such a season arrives, we may stay awake, pray, and prepare.

In the middle of my ten years of prayer, I received the word ‘All Nations’. And when I came to Hong Kong, there truly was an “All Nations Church” And now, I continue to pray together with you. And last Tuesday, through the story of Joseph, God helped me understand the meaning of the remaining 7 years.

From now on, we must pray together through these seven years and prepare for the time to come. Until 2033, each one of us must store up seven years of prayer. This is God’s seven year vision for our church. A movement of prayer must arise from this church. Through the movement of prayer, a movement of the Holy Spirit will arise. The number 7 is the number of “completion” in the Bible.

So, what I am sharing “the 7 years of prayer” also means “the fullness of my prayer.” Until we reach 2033, let us complete the fullness of our prayer! This “7 years of prayer” is not my own idea, it’s not my pastoral plan. I believe this is God’s message to prepare us for the coming spiritual famine. Brothers and sisters, do not calculate like this: ‘How old will I be in seven years? Where will I live after 7 years?’  Let us not think like this.

Everyone will one day stand before Jesus. We are not going to stand before Jesus with our age.  We are not going to stand before Him with the wealth we stored up.  We will stand before Jesus with the life of prayer we lived. This is why our FULL GOSPEL ALL NATIONS CHURCH begins today a seven‑year prayer movement.

Seven years later will be the year of 2033. Jesus completed his public ministry about at the age of 33. This means after seven years, it will be 2000 years since Jesus ascended. 2033, and the decade of the 2030s, will become a critical turning point in God’s history. We must pray for 7 years to prepare for the spiritual famine and challenges of that coming age.

Just like in the days of Joseph, those who pray through these seven years will experience great spiritual blessings. Our God will fill those who pray with the Holy Spirit. God will renew the faith of those who pray, making them completely fresh and alive. Those who pray will experience spiritual revival in the coming seven years. During these 7 years of prayer, God will raise up His people.

God will raise up worshipers who worship Him in spirit and in truth.

God will raise up true disciples of Jesus Christ.

God will raise up people of prayer like blazing fire.

Only for those who pray, these coming 7 years will be a season of spiritual abundance!

But brothers and sisters, there is something even more important. After these seven years of prayer, a strong spiritual famine will come, bringing great challenges. In Pharaoh’s dream, the 7 ugly cows ate up the 7 healthy cows, yet they remained just as ugly as before. And the seven ugly heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy heads of grain. After these seven years of prayer, there will be strong spiritual attacks.

Just like those ugly cows and thin grains, lifeless things will rise up and they will devour people’s souls. Beings without blood or flesh will rise up to steal and swallow people’s hearts. So many people in this world will collapse under secularization.  So many Christians will fall into compromise.  So many people will helplessly surrender their hearts and lives. So many Christians will see their spiritual fire extinguished, and their hearts will grow cold.

However, just like Joseph, those who prepare and store up prayer during these 7 years will endure that season. Those who walk closely with God in intimacy during these 7 years of prayer will overcome that season. Those who have experienced seven years of spiritual abundance will not collapse in the time of spiritual famine. Our seven years of prayer will not disappear; they will live and continue to work with the Holy Spirit. If we pray, we will be victorious.

The Bible says that the grain stored in Egypt was as plentiful as the sand of the sea. We must store up prayer and the Word during these seven years, like the sand of the sea. Then we will be victorious not only these 7 years, but also after that.  There is one more thing we must surely remember. It is not for our survival alone that we are called to pray these 7 years. When Joseph, when one man discerned God’s will and prepared for 7 years, many lives were saved through him. When the 7 years of preparation were finished, all the people of Egypt came to him to receive food. Not only did the people of Egypt come, but all nations went before him to receive the 7 years’ provision.

Today the verse 57 says, “And all the countries came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe in all the world.” All nations came to Joseph to be saved according to that 7 years of preparation. If we store up our 7 years of prayer, All Nations will come back to the Lord to be saved through us.

Before I always thought that we were going toward all nations. But God opened my eyes and I discovered this point that all nations coming to the place where 7 years of preparation has been made. And this is exactly the Word of God that I received in the year of 2023. The Bible Psalm 22:27 says, All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him.

“Here, God does not say, ‘You go and bring all nations,’ but here God declares, ‘All nations will return to the Lord and worship Him” If we store up 7 years of prayer, then all nations will find through us the way of life before God.

This is exactly why God has established our ALL NATIONS church! This church is the church entrusted with the mission to pray! Through the prayers of this church, the people of Hong Kong will live. Because of this church, the doors of prayer and mission in China will open again.

Because of this church, a movement of prayer will spread across the land of Hongkong, China, Korea, the Philippines, East and Southeast Asia, and all over the world.

The people of God, the soldiers of Christ, set your hearts today.  From today until 2033, our church begins 7 years of prayer. Stop worrying about yourself, your family, your children, your daily life, and your future. Entrust it all to the Lord! Do not fall into money or worldly temptations. Cleanse your life so that you may pray day and night without ceasing.

Spread this 7-year prayer movement. Until 2033, tell everyone to fill 2 or 3 hours of prayer each day! Tell everyone that they must fill the measure of prayer completely for 7 years! The Lord will use us through these 7 years of prayer! The Lord will use our church through these 7 years of prayer! The Lord will make all nations return to the Lord through our prayer.

The Lord will make all nations listen to the Gospel of Jesus through our prayer. The way for our Lord Jesus of Nazareth to return will be prepared through this prayer!

I bless our church in the name of Jesus that we all may experience 7 years of spiritual abundance as prayer warriors! I bless our church in the name of Jesus, that through this prayer we will break through the seven years of famine ahead! I bless our church in the name of Jesus, that through our prayers we will become the channel by which all nations return to the Lord!
